Creative San Valentino Contest

Ciao!!!Vi mostro di seguito i passi per eseguire la mia tovaglietta a cuori, quella che ho eseguito per partecipare al concorso Creative San Valentino Contest di sicuro non potrò vincere visto che ho accumulato solo 19 voti, non pensavo di arrivare ad averne quanto le prime classificate, ma credevo di riuscire a far votare tutti i miei amici e di salire un po di più in graduatoria invece non è andata così!!!

Questo è il progetto della tovaglietta: ogni quadretto corrisponde ad un centimetro circa.

Considerate che alle misure che darò vanno aggiunti cm 1.50 per le cuciture.

La tovaglietta finita misura cm 44 per 33.

Tagliare delle strisce dalle stoffe a fantasia rosa e cucirle insieme come nella foto, poi tagliare una striscia della pezza ottenuta della misura che ci serve (4+1.,50 =5,50 cm)

Ritagliare le figure dei cuori nelle fantasie che preferite ed applicarle sulla stoffa usando la teletta adesiva, poi cucirle a macchina oppure come ho fatto io a mano
Per applicare il bordino/ binding ho tagliato delle strisce di cm 3,5 di tessuto, l'ho cucito sul diritto del lavoro con la macchina da cucire,e invece sul rovescio a mano con un sotto punto.

PATCHWORK

Al di la del suo celebre passato americano, il patchwork trova le sue origini agli albori delle lontane civiltà. Sembra che i primi a confezionare vestiti invernali "imbottiti"siano stati i cinesi. Erano composti da tre strati: uno esterno, uno interno ed uno intermedio riscaldante, tenuti fermi dalle impunture. Dalla cina questa moda si diffuse un pò in tutto l'Oriente, raggiungendo poi l'Europa grazie ai cavalieri delle crociate, che sotto le pesanti armature portavano una sorta di camicia quiltata. Trapunte, copriletti e tende, che facevano parte del corredo delle prime pioniere, approdarono in America, paese che è stato la culla più recente di uno sviluppo del patchwork davvero rigoglioso.Nel paese delle enormi distanze le donne dei coloni si incontravano in occasione dei cosiddetti "quilting-bees" i gruppi di lavoro del quilting uscendo così dal loro isolamento. I blocchi che ciascuna aveva preparato a casa venivano uniti in una unica grande coperta che trapuntavano insieme, parlando di figli, progetti, sentimenti, dandosi consigli e aiuti. Si realizzava un quilt per celebrare un matrimonio o una nascita, si facevano coperte anche per il matrimonio delle figlie che doveva essere composto di tredici diversi quilt, l'ultimo dei quali veniva realizzato dalla ragazza stessa con il disegno del blocco Wedding ring. Al riguardo la tradizione vuole che la tredicesima trapunta venisse cominciata solo dopo il fidanzamento ufficale della giovane, perche' altrimenti avrebbe portato sfortuna. Anche i figli più piccoli partecipavano a queste riunioni, imparando l'arte della pazienza e della concentrazione, dato che a loro era affidato il compito di infilare gli aghi.
